Waist (Upper) Trim Fasteners

Waist (Belt) Trim fasteners:

These stainless fasteners are one size in terms of width and
length.  The originals were two different sizes but these are a
"between size" that work both as a joiner (the long size) and as a regular
retainer (shorter size).
The stud length is shorter on 12 of the 22 to accommodate the trunk and
hood areas which can be a little tight for nylocs and full sized studs.
Both nylocs and thinner jam nuts are included so if you can't use the
nylocs, a dab of loctite and the jam nuts will more than suffice.
The reason we include 22 (there were originally 18 or so), is to
put one on or close to each end of the chrome on the quarter panel and on
the doors.  The extra fasteners do no harm in helping to keep the pieces in
place.

I personally have a decent sized scratch on the side of my car from where the plastic clip had let go (while I was washing the car) and let the chrome
swing down.  With these fasteners that would never have happened.
